Innovative hide that Wildlife Photographers should love
I am a keen amateur wildlife photographer and wanted a hide that was portable, good value and most importantly worked!. The Nitehawk has lived up to all my expectations. Price wise I consider it an investment but so far I feel that it has been worth it. I have summarised key points of my experience of using it in the field -The Good :1. It works. I have been able to get within 10 feet of a Kingfisher. Result.2. It portable, folds put easily juts by clipping the retaining strap and it more or less unfolds itself. Its a foldup chair with a big hood that you pull over your head. Works amazingly well and is so easy to set up. The chair even has a drink holder.3. The chair and hood can be secured to the floor using metal tent pins that are supplied. I seriously advise to do this as it makes sure the animals wont see your feet accidentally.4. The Camo hood has several holes that open using zips. This is a fantastic feature. You get holes in front, side and rear and you can vary the size of the hole opening on the front. I use a big slr lens and there has been no issue using it in the hide. The holes are opened and close using zips.5. Once you get used to it "folding" up the tent is relatively easy. You need to get the technique practiced but once you get the nack its relatively easy.6. For a man such as me who is over 6ft and carrys a lot of equipment there was plnety of room for me , the camera and my camera bag inside.. There is not room for 2 people.7. Its really confortable. It beats lying on the cold ground any day.Bad.1. Be careful with the tent material and try and not snag it when folding the tent up orr putting it in the carry bag.2. Carry bag - its sufficient in size but I have reservations about how strong it is and how long the material will last.3. Weight. The hide can be carried over your shoulders but its quite heavy. You will more than likely have to carry it with another camera bag so be prepared to sweat a bit carrying everything.4. Its shower proof but be prepared to get wet if the weather is very wet and you get caught in a storm.I am really happy with the hide. I've had some good results with it and recommend it to any budding wildlife photographers - be prepared to be called a mobile camouflaged dalek :)

Great Hide for Wildlife Photographers
The NightHawk Hide is a great hide for wildlife Photographers,Bought two of these one for me & one for the wife, They are not too heavy to carry and you can carry them like a rucksack on your back. Firstly about the carry bag. Though both my wife and I have bad shoulders the straps on the bag does cause some discomfort on a long walk so the straps could do with a bit of padding as an improvement. Other than this the carry bag is adequate. The carry Bag also has a pocket with some metal pegs in though we have not needed to use the pegs to hold the hide down yet I'm sure they will be handy on windy days. The straps are adjustable and the pocket with the pegs has a zipper. The main bag pocket is a drawstring setup for the enclosure all good quality. Now to the main item the Chair hide. The hide is well constructed easy to setup and put away just takes a few seconds to setup. The Camo material is a nice pattern and of good quality it is attached to the Chair with metal bars that allows the hide hood pull over like a pram hood. The Hide cover is attached to the back of the chair and there is a tension strap attached to this for when you pack away the hide. You have to pull the strap tight around the pram hood bars to pack it down so it will fit back in the carry bag. When you setup the hide unclip the tension strap and open the chair out so you can sit on it. Make sure you don't have any of the hide material under the chair feet. Setup you camera on its tripod at the front of your chair so that the one leg of the tripod is in the middle between the legs of your chair so that you can step over it and sit in the chair Ok. The other two legs of your tripod in-font of you when sat down. You can then pull the Pram Hide cover over you. Once in the Hide there is plenty of space either side at the front of the hide for you camera bags and stuff. The Hide has no ground sheet but if you wanted you could put one underneath the Chair hide and sit your hide on top of it. The Hide has a zipper door at the front which you could use if you used the hide pegged down to access the hide but I prefer not to peg the Hide down and just pull the cover over me with the door zipped up. there are two opening windows doors at the front a small one and a larger opening. On the side of the hide there are two smaller opening window doors on either side. So gives you plenty of viewing options for your camera and for ventilation in the summer. All windows have good quality zippers and even Velcro to fix the side windows open. The hide is water rain & wind proof protecting you from the elements a little but wear suitable winter clothing to keep warm. Over all its very well built Hide and very quick to erect and put away.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT
Arrived a little late due to the transport company but so pleased with the product that I have recommended it to two of my friends. The hide is an ingenious idea and so simple to erect. Just undo the strap and the seat pops open and then pull the frame up and over that is attached to the chair arms (30 seconds to set up). There are two zipped holes for ventilation or for the camera to look through on both sides and a large and a small zipped hole in the front.Ample room for a tripod and camera inside. The material is made of a thick good quality plastic and is blackened on the inside so completely hides you from the wildlife.Putting it back in its carry case was no problem once you realise you have to compress the spring over cover and then tighten up the strap to close it. (Simple but a little strength.needed).WELL WORTH THE MONEY.All in all very pleased .Last picture I added after one year of continual use at the weekends in which I have added a camouflage ghilli net over the hide for even better cover from the birds .
