I received this for my daughter to try out for this upcoming summer. She normally wears a size 6, and this size 6 fit her perfectly. The stitching and fabric quality are good (a little bit see-through, but not terrible), so I expect it to last all summer. If you’re not crazy about the branding all over, the hearts are very subtle and make a cute pattern. The fabric is strong, but still with good stretch, making it ideal for outdoor sports, especially tennis or golf. I appreciate the built-in shorts, although my daughter is rather tall for her age, so she’ll probably still wear leggings or shorts with it just for added comfort. The skirt hit her mid-thigh, and we prefer knee-length. I look forward to this being a durable, lightweight casual outfit that she can wear all summer long.

There is also a soft cotton short under the skirt that is thin, so it doesn’t add bulk. While this outfit is lightweight, it is very well made. The sleeveless top and skort should be comfortable to wear even on the warmest days. I love the skort design for modesty. My granddaughter is an average size 4 year old, and the size 4 fits her perfectly, so I’d say it runs true to size. Made with a cotton/polyester blend, it shouldn’t shrink. The price is high for a children’s outfit, but you’re getting a high quality, well constructed outfit from a well-known top clothing brand.

The quality of this set is really nice, as you would expect from Tommy Hilfiger. No loose threads or weird sewing issues. The pink color is very slightly translucent, but I don't think it matters as the skirt has a built in diaper cover, and the baby isn't going to wear anything under the top. It's only noticeable because I took the pictures on a black countertop. The sizing is appropriate for 12-18 months. The price is kind of high for baby clothes, but I'm not familiar with Tommy price-points, so maybe its on target. For this price in a not designer brand, I would expect the design to be embroidered instead of printed on. I do like that the size is printed on since no kid likes tags. I can't wait to see my niece in this outfit!
