Hornady Lockbox for Guns and Valuables

This is a very serious security as it should be!!! It comes with a very strong cable that will not be easy to cut! This security box is definitely worth the price.

Sturdy and fits under the seat of my car. Perfect for storing my gun when I can't take it inside with me. Only issue, the lock is kind of weird. The key hole is round but there is no indicator of where the top is so you may find yourself fumbling around trying to get the key in correctly. Not good if you need to access your gun quickly. Also, the lock does not hold the key when in the unlocked position so if you leave the keys in when you open the lid they fall between the seats. Nether of these are much of an issue now that I am used to how it functions but they were a real pain the first several times using the safe.

Good construction and easy to use. Will hold a compact pistol and 2 mags. Calling it “Extra Large” is a stretch. It’s about average size.

This is definitely a solid lock box and for my needs it does well. Makes me feel a lot better when I need to take my EDC off when going into certain places. I do not trust the world so having this locked up and tied to my car is a bit safer than just leaving it under the seat.The key/lock mechanism seems a bit weak in terms of the long term durability if you open and close a lot. Once its sealed the box seems quite sturdy and would definitely require some effort to pop open definitely longer than any smash and grab attack would last so that feels good.I would potentially look into a thicker cable I am sure anyone with a basic set of tools could snag this no issue but I am not as worried about those targeted attacks more just smash and grab.It fits perfectly under the back of my RAM 1500 passenger seat and once tucked in you cannot see it unless you crouch down and look at it, even then its not really noticeable. Might have been better if it was painted black.Again does what I need if I need to run in somewhere that i cannot carry then I get back and throw it back on. I would not recommend this for anyone looking for quick access. It is definitely a process to make sure you have the key then open. It is much more for someone looking for temporary storage when you cannot have your EDC on you.I would recommend for anyone looking to keep things a bit more secure while away from the car.

Perfect , keeps valuables and gun safe when I can not carry . Well made and disappears into dark rear floor with the cable around a bolt for front seat .

The lockbox is fairly hefty and very sturdy. The key opening is a bit tight to get the key in, but works perfectly otherwise. The steel cable is easy to install, find a place you can tether the cable to by running the end through the loop then place the end inside the case and close it. It fits my .357 quite well with some extra space so it's not rubbing on the sides. The foam inside is quite stiff, that does make it a little harder to close since you have to hold down the lid to compress the foam around a firearm, once it's closed though you can be certain your firearm will not move at all. I would like the steel cable to be a little longer, but that's a small detail and isn't really a concern.

So far, it's exactly as you would expect it to be. It's a thick gauge metal box that locks and it even has egg foam padding the inside! Out of the box it appears to be able to do exactly what I intend it to do. My intended use is a means of securing a firearm in my vehicle when i don't necessarily want to physically carry. There was a small scratch in the paint right out of the box (pictured). For me personally I couldn't care less, but I know some of y'all love showing off how pretty your purchased items are so take that into account when considering purchasing a firearm lock box that's under $40. The box itself looks and feels sturdy enough. the hinge seems solid and there is no spring/assist to it which is what I prefer. There is a gap in the seam which could potentially be used to assist in prying the box open but it will most likely require the time and effort needed to physically bend out the sides of the box and or bend the locking bar to be able to acquire the goods inside. The keyed lock feels flimsy but so for its worked every time I've desired to make entry into the box. I like that the security cable can be fashioned to either side of the box and it further assists in keeping honest people honest. The room inside the box is plentiful. As seen it can fit a full size weapon with an attached light (yes it's a cheap light, sue me) and a multitude magazines. It even fits my issued weapon, off duty holster, "child" lock and a spare magazine with no issues.Overall I'm very pleased. Will update if necessary.

Già il vedermi arrivare un prodotto a marchio Hornady (uno dei piu famosi produttori al mondo di buffetteria ed accessori per caccia e tiro) mi ha molto stupito: mi aspettavo una cineseria e mi arriva questo signor prodotto, poi il venditore è stato gentilissimo e molto professionale, si è informato sul modello di pistola in mio possesso e mi ha consigliato il modello di cassaforte più grande, al medesimo prezzo. Un ottimo acquisto ed un signor venditore!

Excelente caja de seguridad para armas y/o navajas, sobre todo para los niños. hace un alto total para niños chismosos y hace que tengas seguridad a ti mismo y confianza para que no agarren cosas que no.

Queste cassaforti sono abbastanza inaffidabili. Ne avevo una a combinazione e si è rotta la combinazione, ora ho preso questa a chiave e una delle due chiavi è deformata e non gira. Non ho tempo (ne la voglia) di fare il reso e quindi me la tengo così. Peccato che per questo prezzo non ci sia un'alternativa valida.
